There is something almost uncanny when you witness something you should know, but there is something off about it. This is what I desire to accomplish with my series titled Structures in the Abyss. These charcoal drawings invoke the idea of a stereotypical fantastical landscape, filled with mystery and wonder. However these landscapes remain unfinished around the edges, providing a peek under the surface, opening up the abyss
